Work & Experience

E
Electrical Engineering Apr 2019 - Apr 2020
MAN National Co. Ltd.

- Worked on the Nyala Mall project, 4 commercial buildings of 2,500 sqm per floor, 5 floors each
Design phase: - Reviewed architectural drawings to define electrical loads and point distribution; calculated
lighting, socket, HVAC, and low-current loads
- Designed internal/external lighting, power distribution systems, main and sub-distribution
boards, earthing systems, and low-current systems (fire alarm and CCTV) - Prepared execution drawings in AutoCAD and Revit, and Bills of Quantities covering cable
sizing, breakers, distribution boards, and lighting fixtures
Execution phase: - Coordinated conduit routing through beams and floor slabs, panel and outlet box
installation, and set up the main control room for a dual-source power design (utility feed plus
backup generator with ATS) - Liaised with the national electricity authority to complete transformer connection, then
executed transformer-to-ATS cabling and sub-panel feeding - Managed cable pulling for internal circuits and floor-to-floor riser distribution across building
sections - Began final installation of lighting, HVAC, socket, and fire alarm systems, and panel
assembly, before the project was paused

e
electrical engineering maintenance Jul 2020 - Jul 2021
Sudanese Thermal Power Generation Co. (STPG)

- Maintained electrical and control systems for a plant of 4 x 6MW Wartsila HFO generators (2
units operating during tenure) feeding 3 distribution feeders via an 11kV busbar - Maintained HFO/LFO fuel booster systems that preheat, pressurize, and reduce the viscosity
of incoming fuel before combustion; resolved the occasional control fault, typically via system
reset - Maintained engine oil purification (separator) systems and ventilation systems, including motor
and compressor upkeep - Maintained engine cooling systems (30 radiator fan motors per engine), the highest-frequency
maintenance item, covering motor burnouts, bearing/brush replacement, and occasional
capacitor faults - Resolved electrical faults in LV/MV switchgear rooms, including breaker issues

P
Power Plant Electrical Engineer - Operations and Maintenance Jun 2021 - Aug 2022
Koni Energy Co. Ltd.

- Supported continuous operation and grid stability for a 36 MW HFO power plant: 6 x 6MW
Wartsila generators generating at 11kV, stepped up via two 11/33kV transformers, with dual
33kV busbars and bus-tie breakers feeding two outgoing transmission lines
Operations: - Verified pre-start conditions via SCADA (temperatures, air pressure, booster and separator
status) before every engine start, then monitored full sensor data after start-up - Performed automatic generator synchronization against voltage and frequency, then
progressively loaded each unit in stages while tracking piston and cooling-water
temperatures, until reaching automatic load-sharing mode - Conducted routine two-hourly rounds of fuel, oil, and air systems; reset tripped radiator
cooling-fan motor breakers (30 fans per generator), checked drawn current, and diagnosed
motor faults, escalating disassembly to maintenance with full fault data - Prepared shift-end operations reports; during night shifts, consolidated and distributed all
shift reports and 24-hour generator load data to the wider operations team
Maintenance: - Performed preventive maintenance on stator/rotor windings, AVR excitation systems,
MV/LV switchgear, and protection systems, including breakers, CTs, VTs, current/voltage
transducers, and protection relays - Carried out corrective maintenance on motors (primarily brush replacement, with rewinding
outsourced to an external workshop for burnt windings), breakers, PLC and backup control
systems, and synchronization/control systems, and reported daily findings to plant
management

S
Senior Field Electrical Engineer Nov 2023 - Present
United Wagadogo Company for Oilfield Services

United Wagadogo Company for Oilfield Services | Sarir Oilfield, Libya | Nov 2023 - Present - Spent initial 4 months at company headquarters performing generator maintenance, designing
motor control circuits, diagnosing motor faults, replacing failed components, and maintaining
motor starters and dynamos - Relocated to the Sarir Oilfield site, taking full ownership of electrical systems across 2
workover rigs and camp facilities - Manage dual-generator power systems (interconnected via MTS) for both rigs and the camp,
covering lighting, HVAC, and heating circuits - Maintain and troubleshoot a large fleet of motors, motor starters, and battery charging systems
across rig and camp equipment - Commission and service submersible pump motors for the company's 3 water drilling rigs
following drilling completion
- Maintain automated irrigation systems across the company's agricultural sites, each served by
a submersible pump on a timed automatic cycle
